Nearly 90 stocky bearded men who resemble the literary legend, who lived and wrote in Key West throughout the 1930s, are competing in the Virtual "Papa" Hemingway Look-Alike Contest! Cast your votes for your favorite "Papas", daily, through June 29. The person selected who most resembles "Papa" is to win a four-night, five-day trip for two to Key West to compete in a preliminary round of the 2012 Sloppy Joe's "Papa" Hemingway Look-Alike Contest staged during Key West's annual Hemingway Days festival, set for July 17-22. Vote at the Florida Keys & Key West's Facebook page. Your votes determine 10 finalists. A judging panel made up of past look-alike winners is to select the online winner by July 2.

Key West / July 8 – 11
Three summertime venues host the series' final concerts - All Saints Episcopal Church (July 8), the Arts Garage (July 10) and the Tropic Cinema (July 11). Evening programs feature Antonín Dvorák: American string quartet, opus 96 in F major, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: String Quartet in G Major, K. 387 (No. 1 of 6 Quartets dedicated to Haydn). The Key West Summer Stage is a three-week mini-season of great theater at the Red Barn Theatre. The KWSS is produced by TheatreXP, in association with the Red Barn, for a powerhouse run of plays by four of theater's top playwrights. 'Talk Radio' runs from July 10-14, 'You've Got Hate Mail' from July 17-21 and 'The Seafarer' from July 24-28. Visit website for details, show times and tickets.

Key West / July 14
Anglers are already getting prepared for one of their favorite days on the water. Monroe Association for ReMARCable Citizens (MARC, Inc.) family members are ready for the 16th Annual event held each year at Oceanside Marina. The tournament gives the MARC family a chance for a much needed outing as well as a little "in house" competition for getting prizes. Visit website for more details.

Key West / July 18
This evening of readings and presentations features mystery novelist Michael Haskins, "Key West Bucket List" author David Sloan, writer/editor Wendy Tucker and author/editor/poet George Murphy. Wyland Galleries of Key West, 623 Duval St. Free admission, event to be held 8-10 p.m.
Key West / July 19 – 20
Enjoy two live performances of the United States premiere of a one-man dramatic production written and performed by Brian Gordon Sinclair. Sinclair has done extensive research into Hemingway's life and is to conclude his six-play "Hemingway On Stage" cycle at the 2012 Hemingway Days festival. Show times are July 19 at 8 p.m. and July 20 at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $10, and are to be available starting June 29, online at tropiccinema.com, as well as at the Tropic Cinema box office at 416 Eaton Street.
Key West / July 24
Symphony of the Americas Summerfest Concert
Impromptu Classical Concerts presents this annual Summerfest performance, dubbed a cultural exchange that features the Mission Chamber Orchestra based in Rome. The chamber orchestra's musical range is from Baroque to Contemporary, but under the baton of Symphony Artistic Director, James Brooks Bruzzese, old masters such as Bach and Corelli, Borodin and Mendelssohn will fill the sanctuary. A special highlight of the 2012 Summerfest program will be a world premier by Italian composer and pianist, Lorenzo Turchi-Floris. Show begins at 8 p.m. at St. Paul's Church on Duval Street. Tickets to the concert are $20, free to all students and available at the church door the evening of the performance.
