Festivities will be held at the pool on Saturday, June 2nd from 10-12 noon. Admission is free to everyone during the party hours. Anyone entering the pool prior to noon will be welcome to stay and enjoy the facilities all day long. Free food and ice cream will be served. Games, giveaways and raf?e prizes for all!

How would you like to hunt some lionfish? Lionfish are an invasive species that have voracious appetites, no native predators, and reproduce rapidly; but you can help catch them! Come out and go on a lionfish hunt with Amoray Dive Center. Lad Akins of REEF will be there to teach us about lionfish and how to hunt them. Come out for some diving that is not only fun, but educational and helps us preserve our reefs! The dive trip is scheduled for 8:30 a.m., cost is $85 pp plus tax and includes use of lionfish removal gear for two, hour-long dives. Prizes to be awarded include: Most Lionfish Caught (one Free dive trip on Amoray Diver for two people - gear not included); Biggest Lionfish Caught (one free dive trip on Amoray Diver for two people - gear not included). Special room rates apply from Friday June 1-8 for lionfish derby divers.

Become a citizen scientist and join a coral restoration program. Learn the importance of coral health, corals' function in marine ecosystems and help protect this resource in the Florida Keys in a hands-on way. Scuba-certified participants go on a working dive at the coral nursery, an orientation dive at some of the restoration projects that have been completed and two dives to plant corals on the new restoration site. Accommodations packages at Amoray Dive Resort also available.

REEF presents: A Journey To Underwater Photography

As part of REEF's entertaining and laid-back discussions, Lureen Ferretti, a REEF Fish Surveyor and Underwater Photographer describes how being introduced to counting fish ignited her passion for photography. Social begins at 6:30 p.m., presentation from 7-8 p.m. Located at REEF headquarters, MM 98.3 in the median.
