Florida Keys Fishing Tournaments Calendar
The Key West Fishing Tournament is a season-long competition that runs from March through November. Each year sixty of the best guides and captains in the Keys register to make their fishing customers eligible for prizes at the end of the season. Visitors can also report notable catches directly to us at an official tournament station at no charge. All anglers receive a certificate noting the specifics of the catch.
Our goal is to promote sport fishing in Key West and the Lower Keys by encouraging the release of our game fish. We respect and reserve our marine environment and we encourage our visitors to do the same. An angler can enter a released fish by filling out a form noting the name of a witness to the catch. Certain species can also be weighed in at an official station.
The season-long competition includes two innovative fishing events. We hold a Kickoff tournament in March and an overnight Southernmost Swordfish Tournament in June.
