SeaCoast
Airlines offers charter flights
to Marathon from of St. Petersburg/Clearwater Airport,
in addition to its regularly scheduled flights to Key West.
Additional charter fees ($300 roundtrip) apply. Passengers
fly aboard nine-passenger, twin-engine planes.

Southern Latitude Airways is headquartered with terminal facilities at the Airpark Aviation Center, at the Massey Ranch Airpark in Edgewater, FL. Private and shared charters are available on six-seat, twin-engined, high-wing monoplanes.
The Florida Keys Marathon Airport was born during World War II as an airstrip for bomber training. Today, the facility boasts a sparkling new $9 million terminal and a full range of services for general aviation enthusiasts and corporate jet operators. Here, you'll find two full-service F.B.O.s with both jet and aviation fuels, maintenance, tie down, pilot and passenger facilities. If you're flying into Ft. Ground Transportation
Once arriving in Marathon a host of transportation options are available including
rental cars by Avis, Budget, Hertz and Enterprise. By Land:

If you're driving from Miami International Airport, take LeJeune Road south to 836 West. Take the Florida Turnpike Extension south toward Key West. The Turnpike Extension ends at US 1 in Florida City. Follow U.S. 1 south about 22 miles to Key Largo and you are now in the Florida Keys.
From the north, take the Florida Turnpike south to just below Ft. Lauderdale. Take Exit 4, Homestead/Key West. You are now on the Florida Turnpike Extension, which ends at US 1 in Florida City. Follow U.S. 1 south into the Florida Keys.
From Florida's west coast, take 1-75 Alligator Alley east to the Miami exit, and south to the Turnpike Extension.
Shuttle Services:
Greyhound Lines The famous American bus service makes scheduled stops along the route between Miami International Airport and the Florida Keys. 1-(800) 231-2222 or (305) 296-9072.
Keys Shuttle
The company provides door-to-door service between the Keys and the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airports. (305) 289-9997 or 1 (888) 765-9997.
Train Service:
Amtrak takes you as far south as Fort Lauderdale. There, you can transfer to the Keys Shuttle bus discussed above. Amtrak: 1-800-USARAIL.
By Sea:
Experienced boaters can reach Marathon by navigating along the Atlantic side of the Keys or by traveling through Florida Bay on the Gulf of Mexico side. The specially-marked Intracoastal Waterway takes you as far as Long Key. From there, international navigation markers apply. Consult the appropriate Coast Pilot and Light List manuals. Numerous marinas are waiting to entertain you, but you should make reservations ahead.
