Cuisine and Creativity to Flavor Islamorada Seafood Festival and Art Show
ISLAMORADA, Florida Keys — For seafood fans, any time is a good time to sample fresh ocean fare. Plenty of it is being prepared for the second annual Islamorada Seafood Festival and Art Show set for Sunday, March 19, at the Moose Lodge.
The fun runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is free to enjoy live music, food, locally crafted libations and featured art by exceptional Keys artisans. In addition to admiring the creations on display, attendees can purchase works that vary in price range and style.
The community-minded event is designed to appeal to people of all ages. It is to be staged in front of the Islamorada Moose Lodge at 81573 Old Highway and extend down Industrial Way in the Moraday Way Arts & Cultural District, between mile markers 81 and 82.
Festivalgoers can savor Florida Keys flavors from 20 of Islamorada's top restaurants. Seafood samplings are to be available for a cash-only purchase, with prices starting at $4 each.
Belly dancing, junkanoo parades, family-fun activities and more are planned for the "FUNdraising" afternoon. Proceeds from the event benefit Moose charities.
