MARATHON, Florida Keys — The Florida Keys Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association is to sponsor its annual Aviation Day at the Florida Keys Marathon Airport Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The family-oriented event is free and open to the public at the airport, located at 9400 Overseas Highway bayside.
Designed to intrigue everyone interested in aviation, this event is to showcase more than 20 different aircraft including World War II military aircraft, home-built aircraft, new airplanes, and planes in government service such as aero medical rescue, law enforcement and mosquito control.
Through the EAA’s Young Eagles program, young people ages 7 through 17 can get free planes rides, with proper permission.
In addition, aspiring aviators can enjoy succulent seafood from the Offshore Fisherman’s Association.
