  • Floating greens, golf boats and biodegradable fish food balls highlight the annual "par-tee" on the water during the popular Conch Scramble charity golf tournament. Fans of golf and boating can expect to have a "hole" lot of fun honing their swings and raising money for charity one shot at a time. Up to 50 teams can enter this one-of-a-kind golf experience.

  • Presented by the Islamorada Fishing Club, the event is the second leg this year of the three-pronged Florida Keys Gold Cup Championship series and typically draws a field of up to 30 boat teams of elite sport fishermen. Kickoff is 1/24 and fishing day is 1/25. A total cash payout for a full field at the IFC Sailfish Tournament could reach $30,000.

  • Calling Hemingway and Rum Aficionados! Event at Keys History & Discovery Center is to feature famed rum drinks. Known the world over for his fierce embrace of all life had to offer, Ernest Hemingway made sure his friends' glasses were never empty and their thirst for stories never unsatisfied. Join Philip Greene, author and founding member of the Museum of the American Cocktail, as he shares the legendary camaraderie and spirit of adventure of Hemingway. Imbibe in an evening of celebration with friends, enjoying three of Hemingway's favorite rum cocktails and Keys-Cuban cuisine popular in 1930s-50s. Evening begins at 5:30 p.m., with a welcome cocktail and appetizers. Presentation is at 6 p.m., and includes two additional cocktails and appetizers. Cost for members is $30; cost for non-members is $50. Advance reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made online.
